Although this is later, I would like to give my condolences to the family of Jerry. Jerry was my brothers' landlord. My mother & I met him on a summer trip this past June. Jerry was very nice to us and we were happy to get to know him even a little. So sorry for your loss.

This picture is from a trip to Belgium and Paris, that mom and dad made in order to come see me when I was living in Europe. This is the first trip of many for dad. Dad was always planning on where he would go next, he was very lucky to have the opportunity to see the world beyond the US and have many international friendships. We were suppose to go on another trip before he passed away, time is too short. Dad, I really miss you. I wish there was a long distance phoneline to heaven, I really need to talk to you. Love your daughter

This picture was taken in Ireland at Blarney Castle. Dad, Dave and I were so excited to go everywhere and were grateful that Michelle was willing to be our driver. My favorite memory was a couple of days in to the trip we were driving through winding country roads filled with green pastures. We came up to an area where the rotary took us into the direction of some hills. I was in the back seat and caught sight of a statue off to the side. I exclaimed to dad that there was a unicorn over there as i pointed. Dad light up and looked around thinking i was joking but i wasnt. On that road where the land looks like a fairytale place...there was a statue of a unicorn for all to believe in. We never acted fast enough to photograph it but it became a friendly joke with my dad when something happened that was a bit farfetched. But we know how real things can be in the Emerald Isle. Oh by the way, the only one to kiss the Blarney Stone was my husband, David and we have proof.

We never met Jerome but we are friends with a few of his daughters. If they are a reflection of their father, then he was a good man. Losing a parent is never easy and our hearts go out to his family. May they find courage and strength in the lessons he taught them. Hugs to all.
